Joan O. Pinnock, Esq Bio Pic

Joan O. Pinnock née Johnson was born in Kingston, Jamaica. Ms. Pinnock started her own practice in 1997, and has served as solo practitioner and immigration advocate for the past ten years. Currently, the Law offices of Joan Pinnock, Esq. are located in three New Jersey cities, namely: Newark, Jersey City, and Englewood.  And, as a result of her admission to the District Court of the 3rd Circuit, Ms. Pinnock represents immigration clients nationwide. 
 
In addition to serving as a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, she is also a member of the Caribbean Bar Association, Association of Black Women Lawyers, New Jersey Immigration Policy Network, and the Coalition of Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

Ms. Pinnock also serves as counsel for the Jamaican Organization of New Jersey were she is V.P. of the organization and is a member of its board. She is also the resident immigration expert Law and You.a weekly television program in NJ Ms. Pinnock is co-founder and chairperson of the Network of Legal Professionals at Christ Church, a non-profit organization that provides legal services to church members and the community.
 
Since the fall of 2007, Ms. Pinnock has served as adjunct professor at Essex County College in the first immigration law clinic at that institution. Ms Pinnock has also published her first article “ The Urgent Need for Immigration Reform .“
 
She is the proud mother of one daughter, Danielle, an undergraduate student at Temple University.

Ms. Pinnock attributes all of her achievements to her faith and a total dependence on Christ.

STAFF MEMBERS

Amy C. Rosa, Esq. attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice and received her B.S. in Criminal Justice in 1998. She went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from the City University of New York, Queens College in 2006. Amy is admitted to practice in New York.

Tisha Adam, Esq attended Howard University and received a Bachelors degree in English. She the went on to receive her doctorate at Rutgers Camden law school in 1999. Tisha has practiced law in New York, New Jersey and Washington D.C.

Kenia Almont, Paralegal, received her B.A. in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University. Kenia is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Nelly Gonzalez Bracer, Paralegal, has been with the firm for 8 years. Nelly is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Karen Luca, Legal Assistant, received her Paralegal Certificate from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
